This site is devoted to two trips I made to the
Philippines, much of which I spent on location with some of the presenters and crew of the
ABS-CBN Channel 2 show Showbiz Lingo Plus as
a guest of one of the presenters, Pilar Mateo. I visited in February-March 1998 and
January-February 1999.
My original 1998 site has been left unchanged, although hopefully I'll be able to add some actual video footage from those shows very shortly.

SLP comes to an end...
Sadly the show has now come to an end after a very successful run. The opening segment introduced by Pilar, Aster, and Dolly Ann became a regular feature of the show after it was initially meant to run for only one month. I'd like to thank everyone involved with the show for doing a very professional job over the years, and for allowing me to be a part of it all during my stay in the Philippines.
I'd like this web site to stand as a tribute to the show.
