This press
conference was held in an ice cream parlour. Therefore, instead of the usual three course
meal or fast food normally provided at press conferences, I treated myself to a massive
ice cream boat lined with mango slices. Sheer delight... :) At this point I was
beginning to see the plus side to working in journalism...
Zsa Zsa was dressed casually but is the kind of person who projects star quality naturally. The atmosphere was probably the most informal of any of the press conferences I attended, probably because we were all sitting round a small table in the corner eating ice cream while various questions were put to Zsa Zsa. Zsa Zsa has there to promote her upcoming valentine concert "All for Love" (similar to Jessa's concert title). I had seen Zsa Zsa's valentine concert the previous year with Marvin Nievera and she said she remebered seeing me there (it's not hard to spot in the Philippines, a red-haired pasty-looking European ;)
After everyone finished eating their ice cream and asking questions, Zsa Zsa and Pilar sat at a table and the camera set for the interview to begin. The table lights in the ice cream parlour are hung very low, and some time was spent trying to position round the light until I noticed that the light could be moved up out of the way. Someone had to hold it out of shot for the whole interview. |
