 The studios where the Bubble Gang is
taped are in what I thought at first was an abandoned building. We went round the back of
this deserted grey place, then up a dark flight of steps I hardly noticed was there.
When the door opened I thought I'd walked into the Yellow Submarine...Lots of people were milling around dressed in full military band regalia and loudly practising brass instruments. There were also a few people obviously made up to go on TV, with their makeup people dashing round the place after them.

| The band played loudly at the
start and end of the show (plus the odd burst in the middle, if I remember correctly).
They had one false start at the top of the show, which set the audience in a good
mood as it was really quite discordant, but they soon got into the flow of it.

We settled in a dressing room for the
obligatory aeon before any taping actually took place, during which time I had a long chat
with Ogie Alcasid about the price of things, politics, and Manila traffic. Then I had a
cliché "here's one of me with..." photo taken with Amanda Page (she's looking
for an English bulldog - I couldn't help her...)
Once taping actually started it seemed to be over in no time. As I am
completely ignorant of the show I wondered why they kept mentioning Brad Pitt, until it
dawned on me later that they were talking about Brod Pete...
